I went to Taiwan last month.

I went to attend the opening ceremony of the late Izumi Hirota’s posthumous exhibition held in Taiwan. Izumi Hirota was one of Japan’s famous railway photographers and an old friend of mine.
This posthumous exhibition was held in Taiwan, following the one held in Japan.
Many people came to see his exhibition.
I gave a short speech at the opening.

Anyway, Taiwan was my first visit and it was a fascinating country.
This time I was only able to see Taipei in the north, and only a limited area of it, but there were many fascinating cityscapes very nice for taking photos.
New buildings and traditional old buildings coexisted together, and I was able to see how the city was evolving. I think it’s a city that is particularly attractive to those who like to take street snapshots.

This dog was very friendly, and as soon as she noticed me she came over and showed me her belly.
After interacting with me for a while, I just leave there the dog looked at me with a very lonely look on its face. Her eyes were very impressive.
